INTRODUCTION

SAT Summits are industry led events dedicated to increasing the depth of the conversation and understanding of the agritech ecosystem and its potential.

This particular SAT Summit focuses on Sustainability and a look at how technology has the potential to solve many of the issues faced by the farming sector currently and into the future. It is an informed discussion with industry leaders, farmers, agritech companies and academia from Ireland and abroad

The agenda will explore the latest technologies, practices and innovations that will help to support agriculture’s sustainability efforts. The most recent carbon budget programme requires a 51 per cent reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and the agriculture sector will invariably transform its food production methods now and in the future.

This summit will allow us to think about the economic and environmental pillars of sustainability, particularly focusing on opportunities that agritech innovation will provide to farmers in the next decade and beyond.

The summit agenda is structured to include esteemed keynote speakers, international best practice, industry leader case studies and discussion panels allowing for LIVE Q&A in specific topic areas. Furthermore, the agenda uses virtual event technology to explore different sectors within the industry in greater detail.

This unique event will also highlight practical innovations and shine a spotlight on some of the alternative farming that is taking place in Ireland. This event is a must ‘attend’ for farmers as well as everyone interested in Irish agriculture and food production.

Topics will include:

  • How we can better utilise our fertiliser
  • Changing your cow’s eating habits
  • A happy cow is a productive cow
  • Newest advances in spraying technology
  • Technology that is helping to put money back in your pocket
  • Sustainable Farming – What are we doing and what can we learn
  • The growth of alternative farming providing new opportunities
